1. Introduction

Welcome to San Diego Mac Repair (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website www.sdmacrepair.com (“Site”) and our device repair, data recovery, and related services (“Services”).  By using our Site or Services, you agree to these Terms.  If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Site and Services.


2. Services Offered

San Diego Mac Repair provides:

  • MacBook and laptop repair services

  • Data recovery services

  • Device diagnostics and evaluations

We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer or device at our sole discretion.


3. Customer Responsibilities

By using our Services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete information regarding your device and the issues experienced

  • Remove sensitive, confidential, or personal data from your device prior to submitting for service

  • Understand that device repair and data recovery involve risks, and accept responsibility for potential outcomes

We are not responsible for loss of applications, settings, passwords, or data on any device during service.


4. Service Authorization and Estimates

By submitting your device to San Diego Mac Repair, you authorize us to:

  • Perform diagnostics

  • Conduct necessary repairs

  • Attempt data recovery as requested

Repair estimates are based on preliminary evaluations and may vary upon further inspection.  No additional services incurring further costs will be performed without customer authorization.


5. Payment Terms

  • Payment for services is due upon completion of the repair or recovery work.

  • For mail-in customers, payment must be received in full before the repaired device is shipped back.

  • Accepted forms of payment include major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods specified on our Site.

Devices unpaid or unclaimed after 45 days may be considered abandoned and disposed of in accordance with California law.


6. Shipping Policy for Mail-In Services

  • Customers are responsible for securely packaging devices for shipment.

  • San Diego Mac Repair is not responsible for damages incurred during inbound shipping.

  • We recommend using insured shipping services.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.


7. Warranty

Repairs performed by San Diego Mac Repair are backed by a limited warranty of 90 Days on parts and workmanship.

This warranty does not cover:

  • New physical damage, including liquid spills

  • Pre-existing or unrelated device issues

  • Tampering by third parties after service

Warranty claims are subject to evaluation and verification.


8. Data Recovery Limitations and Waiver

San Diego Mac Repair will make every commercially reasonable effort to recover your data. However, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Data recovery is not guaranteed; no assurance is made regarding full recovery or usability of files.

  • Devices may sustain additional damage during recovery attempts due to their pre-existing condition.

  • San Diego Mac Repair is not liable for further device failure during diagnostics or recovery.

  • Partial recoveries may occur and may not include all requested files.

  • The customer remains solely responsible for maintaining backups of all important data before engaging our services.

  • San Diego Mac Repair disclaims all liability for:

    • Incomplete data recovery

    • Non-recoverable files

    • Damage that may occur during the recovery process

    • Any consequential or incidental damages

By submitting your device for data recovery, you expressly waive any and all claims against San Diego Mac Repair related to data loss, device failure, or loss of business revenue or opportunity.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • San Diego Mac Repair’s liability for any claims relating to the Services shall be limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service provided.

  • Under no circumstances shall San Diego Mac Repair be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

  • No employee, agent, or representative of San Diego Mac Repair is authorized to modify these limitations.


10. Abandonment Policy

Devices left unpaid or unclaimed after 45 calendar days from service completion will be considered abandoned.
San Diego Mac Repair reserves the right to recycle, resell, or otherwise dispose of abandoned property without further notice.

Customers forfeit all rights to abandoned devices and any data contained therein.


11. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, graphics, logos, and software used on this Site are owned by San Diego Mac Repair and are protected under copyright and trademark laws.
No portion of the Site may be copied, republished, or distributed without our prior written consent.


12. Changes to Terms

San Diego Mac Repair reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.

Your continued use of the Site or Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be exclusively resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
